Career Background and Calling:
Prior to becoming a Pastoral Counselor, I was a Medical Social Worker in hospice and home care for 23 years. A turn of events in my personal life led me to change careers. In hindsight, I can see the hand of God utilizing the giftedness that he has placed within me to draw people into a deep, healing relationship with Jesus Christ. The Lord has called me into a position of co-founder and director of Redeemed until 2023. I have also been a Pastoral Counselor with Redeemed from its beginning and I’m delighted to continue to counsel, especially while adding TRP and EMP.
Personal Statement:
I am so grateful that God is faithful and has a good plan for my life (our lives). As I reflect on events of my journey that have prepared me to be what and where I am now, I recognize that the deep emotional pain and the intense physical pain that I have experienced have been used by God to help others. I am so grateful for the love and grace of the Heavenly Father, the friendship and salvation of Jesus Christ, and the comfort, transformation, and power of the Holy Spirit.
Biographical Information:
My husband, John and I have been married since 1981. We have 2 adult children who are married and have blessed us with 8 grandchildren.

Career Background and Calling:
In my first career as a Speech Language Pathologist, I worked in the medical setting with people across the life span to improve their speech, language, cognition, and swallowing. Working in this field, I helped to heal brains and bodies for 13 years. I continue these efforts by sharing my knowledge and experience as an adjunct lecturer at UW-Whitewater in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
After moving out of clinical practice, I was involved in starting a ministry that provided housing and recovery programming to women in early recovery from Substance Use Disorder. During my 2 years in that role, I walked with them as they navigated their new sobriety, and for many of them, their recent release from incarceration.
Though new to the role of Pastoral Counselor, I have functioned in related roles within my previous career experiences, and have a special interest in helping all people find freedom in the Lord.
Personal Statement:
“As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the Heart" Proverbs 27:19 and "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a new heart of flesh." Ezekiel 36:26 I have a call to walk with people as they work through their past hurts and the muck of life in this fallen world, to fully realize the beautiful gift of being a child of God, to help them work with the Lord to let go of their heart of stone, to receive the gift of a new spirit and a new heart, to understand what it truly means to be a child of God, and to reflect their amazing transformation in their lives.
Biographical Information:
Most importantly, I am a wife and mother. My husband and I have a beautifully blended family with a total of 4 children and a handful of grandchildren. We have been married since 2017.

BA, Ministry, Visible Music College
Certified Temperament Counselor, NCCA
Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor, NCCA
Ordained Pastoral Counselor, NCCA
Career Background and Calling:
Having served in ministry at various churches for over ten years, pastoring people has been a calling throughout my adult life. God has been generous to create opportunities to work in many different settings from both in and outside the church walls from worship ministry, children's ministry, volunteer coordinating, and pastoral care. My husband and I are also active in our neighborhood efforts in the Fourth Ward neighborhood in Janesville. I have also held a program director position at the Boys and Girls Club of Janesville, working with kids ages 6-18 in planning after-school programs. Currently I have my real estate license and work alongside my husband who is the Broker of Mansur Real Estate. I have been led in these various settings for different seasons of my life and I am so excited that God has led me to join in the ministry happening at Redeemed.
Personal Statement:
As a disciple of Christ, I try to filter my call through this verse. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." God has shown me that He can and will use us wherever, just join into His good work happening all around! God is in all, moving, always. And my job, or passion, or call, is to JOIN in and recognize God in each moment because God is inviting. It is up to us to participate.

BA, Christian Counseling
Certified Temperament Counselor, NCCA
Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor, NCCA
Ordained Pastoral Counselor, NCCA
Advanced Certification in Temperament Therapy
Advanced Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Ethics
Professional Clinical Member, NCAA
Career Background and Calling:
Before counseling, I was a work-from-home mom of three beautiful children. I was an active volunteer at my church and kids’ schools, involved in the children’s and youth ministries, and a camp counselor at our summer kids camp program for my church; while still working from home and raising my kids with my husband. I have always been a helper. God placed it on my heart to look into becoming a counselor after receiving personal counseling at Redeemed Christian Counseling, for unhealthy relationships and attachments. I received my BA in Christian Counseling, in June of 2017. In August of 2017, I began my counseling career at Redeemed Christian Counseling. In 2022 I took a year off to pursue a paraprofessional position with an alternative education high school. I missed the one-on-one counseling experience and walking alongside people in their hurts, habits, and hangups that keep them from living a healthy, God-honoring life. I’ve been back in the counseling chair since September of 2023. I’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD Combined type and it has helped me make sense of a lot of my life’s experiences from age 13 to the present. It also helped identify connections to the personal counseling I received. It has affected every area of my life. I understand the shame, confusion, exhaustion, and lies that I have managed to mask and become good at hiding, even though it created unhealthy coping mechanisms. By renewing my mind as Paul recommends in Romans 12:2 I can live in freedom despite the challenges that I have faced and continue to face. My calling is to help people in their pain, shame, and confusion, as they try to manage the complexities of life. I want them to experience the freedom Christ died for us to have.

Professional Credentials:
MS, Guidance and Counseling, UW-Whitewater
BS, Social Work, UW-Eau Claire
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, State of WI
Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor (NCCA)
Certified Temperament Pastoral Counselor (NCCA)
Career Background and Calling:
Since 1990, I have worked as a Professional Counselor with adolescents, individuals and couples. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depressions, anxiety, marriage and family, grief, and self-esteem issues.
The many years of counseling in a secular setting was a challenge as a Christian but God equipped me to serve Him there. He has now called me into a new season of my counseling ministry where I can openly use the powerful truth of God's word to bring healing and freedom to those I have the privilege to counsel.
Personal Statement:
I have been a follower of Christ since 1983. I knew about God prior to this from growing up in the church but since then I learned to know God, to love God and to know and experience His love for me. My faith is about loving God and loving others and using the new life that Christ gave me to bring about positive change to the lives of others - the same positive change Christ brought about in me. The most important commitment I have made has been to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. It has affected every area of my life, as well as every fiber of my being - mental, emotional, physical, as well as spiritual.
